Girls Night!

Last night was our Girls Night out and it was a TON of fun! We started at The Maiden in Portland. It was a place full of atmosphere! From the wave murals on the walls to the to die for lighting fixtures to the crazy nautical designs everywhere it created a fun and playful place to be that was still chic and classy.  It was really busy last night as well which is a good sign for that place since it was a Tuesday! The food was Spanish in nature and fabulous. We were lucky because it's Happy Hour all day on Tuesday there so we got to try out their food for a fraction of the price! It was great!

The drink choices were well drinks [I believe the two of choice at our table were whiskey sours, and extra dirty vodka martinis] for $3.50, super sweet and fruity Sangria for $5, buckets of 4 Sessions [beer] for $6, and $1 tallboy PBR's. I had some Sessions and a PBR because I'm cheap classy. The food was delicious and a great price. I had the house salad with pickled veggies and a citrus vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was on point - super vinegar-y, but I didn't really notice that the veggies were pickled, but they were still good. For my main I decided on Veggie panini with fries. The panini had mahon cheese, tomatoes, and arugula. It was a great fancyed up grilled cheese. The fries were really good as well. I was a little sad that they came with regular ketchup and not the jalapeño ketchup that the fries on the happy hour had. However, I was saved by one of my ladies who ordered the fries, but hated the jalapeño ketchup. I like it. It was ketchup-y and less jalapeño more salsa-esque. Good, but not great.

Then somehow we decided to go to a strip club. I think it's because we're in Portland. Portland is the city with more strip clubs per capita than any other in the nation. The girls wanted to go to Sassy's which was seriously less than three blocks away. So to Sassy's we went. I mostly enjoyed my drink on the outside patio talking to the ladies who work there about stuff/things. They were great and really funny! We were done by midnight and driving home safely thanks to our DD's. I ended up hang out at my friend Sarah's house munching on some delicious toast and being asleep in bed by 1:30. It was a great night and a ton of fun!
